Objective: Our Kimball location seeks a second, full-time veterinarian willing to join our large animal practice that serves a local cattle market.
Training Required: DVM Degrees, USDA accreditation, and South Dakota license
Experience Desired: New graduate or seasoned veterinarian

Facilities: Retail storefront and office, pickup with vet box and tools. Excellent equipment for field services, including portable hydraulic Parasol chute, portable Easi-Scan ultrasounds with arm extenders, and phase contrast microscopy.
Practice strengths: Our veterinarians can work in all segments of the beef cattle industry. We primarily service beef cow-calf clients within a 30-mile radius, as well as local feeders and growers, and the Kimball Livestock Exchange, LLC, which has weekly feeder sales year-round and additional bred cow and pair sales during the winter and spring months. There is ample potential within this market and in the surrounding ranching community to fully support a second veterinarian in Kimball.
Practice Area: Kimball is a safe, rural town of 700 residents situated in the heart of cattle country. Boasting a strong school district and excellent sports program, a progressive business sector, and limitless outdoor activities (fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, boating, hiking, camping, etc.), It is a splendid place to live and play. Kimball is in the South-Central part of the state, right off Interstate-90: 20 minutes east of Chamberlain and the Missouri River, a half-hour north of Platte, under an hour west of Mitchell, just under 2 hours west of Sioux Falls, and about 3.5 hours east of Rapid City. Other Personnel: One current full-time veterinarian, two full-time veterinary assistants, one part-time veterinary assistant, one full-time office manager, and one part-time office secretary. Additionally, Sioux Nation currently staffs 16 full-time veterinarians (13 of which specialize in food animal) as well as sales, operations, and marketing support staff that are available for support.
