Are your conversations getting more politically correct these days?
“Hey, Roger!”
“Hey, Doc!”
“My, those pigs are looking a bit cozy”, I commented.
“Well, Doc, you see, now that my cost of gain is so low because of the alternative feed coproducts you’ve got, I want to get them to optimal sell weight”, Roger said.
“Aren’t you afraid they might get a bit chubby, in addition to their already being entirely cozy?”
“I don’t mind chubby so much. You said you liked chubby gilts anyway. I even saw you give one a little wink while you were in the barn….har har har har.”
“If you keep them in here much longer you may have to think about removing some nutrient from the earthen storage basin before they leave.”
“I’ve already talked to the neighbors about the deep land application of the vital crop growing nutrient for next Tuesday when everybody’s out of town for the track meet.”
“Did you ever stop surgically excising the enamels next to the incisors over at the sow farm?”
“That, and we began administering beneficial immune system modulators in the new, piglet friendly fashion as you have shown us.”
“Good chattin’ with you again, Roger!”
“You too, Doc.”
